60 Year Diploma
Bro George Nixon PM is our Senior Past Master & recieved his 60 Year Diploma from RWM Bro Iain D Hair on 11th April 2023
George joined Freemasonry in April 1963 at McDougall Street,
when a total of 5 x 18 year olds all went through together and at their Mark degree there were 31 of them went through together.
He went up through the ranks and in December 1975 became RWM. IN December 1977 became IPM, thereafter D.O.C. for a few
years..
At his Installation in 1975, PM Jack Brown was principal installing master, who had done a bit
of research and on the night told the brethren that at the age of 31 he was the youngest RWM installed in 1121 since the charter was granted.
George said"I’ve always been very proud of 1121 and at the age of 78 hope to keep well enough to keep attending regularly"
